Junior Estimator Intern
At Bidi, we're building AI-powered estimating software that helps contractors bid faster and more accurately. We're looking for a Junior Estimator Intern for Summer 2026 to help us review plans, build estimates, and support real project work across residential and commercial construction.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to learn estimating in a fast-moving environment. You'll review plans, build estimates across different scopes, and help us use and improve the software that powers our estimating process.
What you'll do
- Review residential and commercial project plans
- Build estimates across a variety of scopes using Bidi's software
- Perform quantity takeoffs and help verify estimate accuracy
- Document assumptions, missing information, and scope clarifications
- Compare project details across drawings, bid packages, and related documents
- Work with our team to improve estimating workflows and software outputs
- Help us move quickly while keeping quality high
What we're looking for
- Strong attention to detail
- Interest in construction, estimating, or preconstruction
- Ability to read plans or willingness to learn quickly
- Organized, dependable, and able to work through problems carefully
- Comfortable learning new software and processes
- Clear written communication
Preferred background
- Current student or recent graduate in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field
- Exposure to estimating, takeoffs, blueprints, or construction documents
- Interest in construction technology or AI tools
Why this role is different
This isn't a sit-back-and-watch internship. You'll work on real projects, see how estimating happens in practice, and learn how technology is changing the way contractors bid work. You'll get exposure to both the construction side and the startup side.
